Our Philosophy
The first years of life are by far the most important, helping to lay the foundation for all intellectual and emotional development to follow. Through encouragement and individualized attention, I take great care to provide a warm, friendly, and fun environment for your child, while ensuring they receive the guidance and structure they need. There are lots of hugs and giggles as we learn while we play. My goal is to create a 2nd home-like environment for each child where they can learn honesty, integrity, manners, kindness, and compassion while they have fun and grow. Through a play based curriculum I help each child become a confident, joyful, lifelong learner. Everyday we spend ample time having free play, as it promotes friendship, problem solving, and discovery of the world. Our daily rhythm allows for flexibility according to children’s interests and passions.
Our Program
I feel the best way for children to learn is through play. Our days are filled with art, music, dramatic play, dance, and nature. I will often weave a common theme or concept, colors, shapes, letters, or seasons into these playtimes. I try to spend at least 45 minutes a day learning a letter, shape, color, number, or animal through arts and craft projects, songs, stories, or games.
I also incorporate baby sign language into most daily activities in order to help the children learn language and communicate their needs and feelings as they are learning to talk.
